Emma was born Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson 15 April 1990 - she was born in Paris to English parents working as lawyers. the family lived in France until Emma was 5 years old then they moved to Oxfordshire.
She is best known for her role as Hermoine Granger, the character from the hugely successful Harry Potter films - to date these are Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone - 2001, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - 2002, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabahn - 2004, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - 2005, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 2005 and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - scheduled for summer 2009.
